Community Food Response is a wonderful service opportunity. If you have never tried it, 8/1 is a great time to start. There are three shifts:

2-3:30pm Pick up food;

3-4:30pm Sort food;

4:45-6:30pm Pack up food for families.

There is a CFR staff person there to provide directions.

Rotary Family News: Congratulations! Emma Becker is is now Emma Nazarinia . She was married June 30th in a beautiful outdoor setting in Utah. GRR wishes you years of happiest.

We send students to RYLA each year. At the July 25th meeting, Shanmah Dosumu shared his experiences from last year's camp. His major take away was how to deal with different leadership styles. Great job, Shammah.

Rotary Monthly Theme : Membership

In Rotary's membership game, everyone is a winner. The August Rotarian has a wonderful article on the success of the Edina /Morningside Club. They got 31 new members in one year. Whoa! Since 1985 Rotary and its partners have helped reduce the number of cases from 350,000 annually to fewer than 12 in 2018, and they remain committed until the disease is eradicated. Rotary has contributed more than $1.3 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect more than 2 billion children worldwide. In addition, Rotary's advocacy efforts have played a role in decisions by donor governments to contribute over $10 billion to the effort.
