Get on the Bandwagon!

We are exploring the idea of putting together a small “pep band” from the three Rochester Rotary clubs, and are looking for Rotarians who have experience playing brass, woodwind, or percussion instruments.  For our first venture we would learn the National Anthem to play at athletic events around Rochester.  For more info you can email Stephen at sdudley97068@yahoo.com.

Opportunity to help with Literacy Project
Rochester Rotary Risers invite you to volunteer during the My Book Day event at the library on May 4.  You can read to the first graders or act as a "tour guide" as the students move to different activity stations.  Each first grader receives a hardcover book and Rotary book bag!  To sign up for a wonderful and fun event, please contact jolene.r.hansen@gmail.com.

INVITE A PROSPECTIVE MEMBER TO AN OPEN HOUSE!
Here's your opportunity to share your enthusiasm for Rotary by inviting friends, neighbors and colleagues to a Rotary Open House on Tuesday, May 8 at 125 LIVE from 11 am to 1 pm.  The 3 Rochester Rotary clubs have worked together to plan this event to attract potential new members to Rotary. This is a very casual drop-in event, and a representative of each Rotary club will be on hand to greet guests and share with them an overview of the great work Rotary does in the community and the world.  We'll offer guests a "ticket" to attend an upcoming club meeting of their choice as a follow-up and we'll be sharing ways that they could get involved in Rotary right away.  The event is free and preregistration is not required.  Guests can arrive any time between 11 am and 1 pm and stay as long as their schedule permits.

Many of us became Rotarians because someone invited us. A personal "ask" is powerful.  Please extend a personal invitation, and bring your guest to the open house if your guest would like for you to attend.
