Rotary Readers is a fun volunteer activity. You meet with the same children and listen to them read. You can sign up for a reading session once or twice a month or once every week. The time slots are 30-60 minutes. Jody Peterson, Family Liaison at Riverside, will be sending a schedule once the children have been assessed. Sign up between Oct 1-October 11. The sessions will start  the last week of October. How does listening to the children read help them? The children being served usually don't feel good about their reading. They need additional practice in a supportive ,fun, and positive way.
Here are a few quotes from the students: "I got to read my favorite book to him and he liked it, too." "My reader had a pretty smile like my mom."
