Enhancing Workforce Through Early Childhood Investments

The Rotary Clubs of Rochester, along with other business and civic organizations, are co-sponsoring a Cradle2Career event on October 15 featuring Art Rolnick, former Vice President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
Rolnick has done number studies on the economic benefits of early childhood education, which fits right in with Cradle2Career's focus. Cradle2Career is a community initiative born several years ago from a Rotary Clubs of Rochester effort to investigate how best to improve literacy in Rochester. Through a Rotary grant and participation from the clubs the efforts have lead to a clear mission and goals and, best of all, community ownership from the business, government, education and non-profit sectors.
