Great News! German Cultural Exchange team will be visiting Rochester May 2 - May 5.
They treated us royally last year and we hope to make their trip as memorable. Your help is needed. They will be here for 3 nights and 2 days.

1, Need host families. What does that entail?
- Provide housing for 1, 2 or 3 nights.
- How many can you take - 1, 2 or 3 people?
- Provide breakfast, dinner or transportation to dinner. See the tentative schedule for details. The number of meals depends on how many dates you are hosting.
2. Drivers on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday. We need two vans. If anyone has contacts so we rent them cheaply or get them for free, let me know.
3. I need suggestions for activities. The following schedule is a work in progress.

May 2 - Saturday
Breakfast at hotel, visit the Minneapolis Zoo, lunch and then meet Rochester Rotarians at a 1/2 waypoint
Drive to Rochester
If time, Visit Bee Shed in Oronoco
Deliver our guests to the host families
Pot Luck Dinner - hosted by GRR. Perhaps include our Youth Exchange student and host family
May 3 - Sunday
Breakfast with the host family
9:30 - Government Center for Proclamation from Mayor Kim
Drive to Lanesboro or Harmony.
11:30 Norwegian Meatballs lunch at Pedal Pusher or at Estelle's in Harmony
1 pm Amish Tour
Return to host family for dinner
May 4 - Monday
Breakfast with the host family
Around 9 am - Morning at Mayo for tour and lunch
1 pm Alternative Learning Center
Perhaps stop off at SEMVA or subway for shopping before returning to host family
Need a suggestion - about dinner. Would members at TRCR host another pot luck or group dinner, should we take them out, ideas?
