NO TREE PLANTING on 4/23. The first tree planting is postponed. Please keep a lookout for the rescheduled date. Quarry Hill Nature Center Executive Director, Pam Meyer, says that the DNR is delaying digging up any trees due to weather conditions. As soon as Mother Nature decides to be cooperative, we will plant 300 whips to create a greener environment around the Bear Creek Park Shelter Area. In the meantime, the second event is still scheduled. You can register for Saturday, April 28, 8:30-11:30 am in Apple Hill Neighborhood, starting on Apple Ridge Blvd SW (between Haralson & Regent Lanes). This is a wonderful event to invite your family members, friends, youth, and/or work colleagues. |
