The 2018 Coon Rapids Rotary Foundation grants were announced last Monday and 16 community groups received funding. A total of $23,250 in grants was distributed, which was the largest in club history. Combined with previous support of the Youth Frontier’s Respect Retreat at Coon Rapids High School last fall, Coon Rapids Rotary has invested more than $35,000 in the community. The following organizations received funding:
Anoka Ramsey Community College Foundation
Anoka Ramsey Technical College Foundation
Cars for Neighbors
Coon Rapids Crime Prevention Association
Coon Rapids Community Scholarship Association
Coon Rapids High School Senior All-Night Party
Coon Rapids Snowflake Days Association
Cub Scout Pack 516
Emma B. Howe YMCA
Engineers Without Borders
Mediation Services of Anoka County
North Metro Pediatrics
North Suburban Counseling Service
Nucleus Clinic
Operation Grace Minnesota
Safe Kids Anoka County
The list is strong evidence that our club does, in fact, make a difference locally and abroad. Congratulations to the 2018 grant recipients and thanks to everyone who has donated money, time and ideas to support the work of Coon Rapids Rotary.
