Dinner Theater Night: A Nice Family Christmas
It’s Christmas Eve in Minneapolis and a young Star Tribune newspaper reporter, on the brink of being fired, has been assigned a last chance story about a typical family Christmas — his family. He goes home to his recently widowed mother, his crazy uncle, and eccentric grandmother as well as battling siblings and neurotic spouses with no shortage of material. One by one, we learn of each family member’s secrets, problems and dysfunctions, and when they learn that he’s writing an article with some very personal family information, the fruitcake hits the fan. The question is, will the magic of Christmas bring this family back together?  (Text credit: A Nice Family Christmas)
Coon Rapids Rotary plans to attend the Thursday, December 14, 2017 (7:30 PM) showing.  Tickets are available at the Bunker Hills Event Center box office.  Contact Al Hamel for more details.  Bunker Hills Event Center (Link): https://www.kendallstc.com/event-center#dinner-theater

Annual Meeting Announcement: January 8, 2018
According to club bylaws, each year the club is supposed to hold an annual meeting for the primary purpose of electing club officers.  At some point in time, the club shifted away from this practice.  The current board has decided to restore election practices with the bylaws.  The office terms will run for the period from July 2018 to June 2019.  Nominations will be open for all positions on the board.
Club Constitution and Bylaw Committee
At the board meeting on November 27th, the board discussed the idea of updating the club’s Constitution and Bylaws, which were last modified in the mid-1990’s.  Among the changes: making all language gender-neutral, revising the committee structure and updating policies to reflect current priorities.  The committee is comprised of Russ Weaver, Al Hamel, Margie Rask, Nick Bednarczyk and Grant Fernelius.  The group plans to start work in January.  Once the group has made its recommendations to the board, the full club will be asked to vote on the updated documents.
