Dr. Duncan Day, a Neuropsychologist, will be speaking to the club. Neuropsychology attempts to understand, assess and treat thinking patterns, emotions and behaviours related to the functions of the brain. 

Dr. Day is a licensed Clinical Psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario, practicing in Clinical Psychology and Neuropsychology. He is a member of the Canadian Psychological Association (CPA), the Ontario Psychological Association (OPA), the International Neuropsychological Society (INS), the National Academy of Neuropsychology (NAN), the Canadian Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology (CRHSPP), a member of the Association for the Scientific Advancement of Psychological Injury and the Law (ASAPIL), and a member of the Canadian Academy of Psychologists in Disability Assessment (CAPDA).
He has also served on the board of the local Brain Injury Association. After studying undergraduate anatomy and psychology at McGill University, he completed an M.Sc at Purdue University, and a Ph.D., at Concordia University. He has held a position at Queen’s University as Coordinator of the Trauma Studies Program in the Department of Psychiatry, and worked clinically as a Geriatric Neuropsychologist in the Geriatric Psychiatry Program at Providence Care, Mental Health Services (formerly Kingston Psychiatric Hospital) for almost ten years.
He holds academic posts as adjunct Assistant Professor in both Departments of Psychiatry and Psychology at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, supervising practicum students at his clinic in Kingston. He is the Chief Psychologist in a private practice in Kingston for the neuropsychological and psychological assessment and treatment of adults, serving all of south eastern Ontario. He has served as expert witness in legal and FSCO hearings for cases relating to accident benefits, tort and Catastrophic Determinations. He has been performing independent assessments and medical legal assessments since January 2001.
