Danielle Griffin, Executive Director at AboutFace, an organization that offers a wide variety of programs, services and resources designed to encourage, empower and educate parents, children and adults about the challenges and opportunities of living with a facial difference.

Danielle has more than 10 years of experience advancing positive social impacts through work in the charitable sector and governmental commissions. After being a member of the research and administrative staff of the Confidential Committee of the Commission to Inquire into Child Abuse in Ireland in 2007 and 2008, Danielle returned to Canada where she has worked with various charities focusing on social services and healthcare. Progressively more senior roles with Maytree, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Warden Woods Community Centre, CNIB, and Hope Air have helped advance her charitable sector experience. She has supported and progressed the causes of diverse communities across Canada through her fundraising, program development and management, marketing and communications, and community engagement work.

Danielle holds a PhD in Sports History from De Montfort University, an MA in the History of International Relations from University College Dublin, and a BA (Honours) in English and History from McMaster University.
