Organizing Chemistry and its Impact on the World

Dr. Bernard West holds a BSc and PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Manchester, where he also taught for six years.

He has over thirty years experience in the chemical industry working with such companies as Rhone-Poulenc, Imperial Oil and Polymer Corporation.  Throughout his career, Dr. Bernard West has held numerous senior positions on the Boards of industry associations and industry-government bodies, including as Chairman of the Advisory Board at the National Research Council of Canada.

Currently, Dr. Bernard West serves as the Chairman of the Board at Haygain Ltd. and is the President of Westworks Consulting Limited, a company that provides strategic planning advice to chemical companies in Canada, USA and Southern Africa.
