Social Isolation does not have to be as lonely and boring as it sounds. There are lots of ways to stay in touch with family and friends, and to keep the kids entertained. Here are a just a few suggestions:

Keep in Touch with Family and Friends

While chatting by phone is great, nothing beats a face-to-face chat with a group of family and friends, but what do you do when you can't get together? Try meeting regularly using a video meeting program. There are plenty of great options and some are probably already installed on your computer or phone. Do you use Facebook? Then you have Facebook Messenger. Have an Apple device? Then you have Facetime. Most of these system allow dozens to participate at one time, and best of all, most are FREE to use.  If you have a smart phone, tablet (iPad, etc...) or newer computer, you have all the hardware you need.

 

Not comfortable around computers? While these systems are easy to use, we bet there's someone in your family who will help.
