There were 23 members and 2 guests at today's meeting.

 

This was the formal handover of the club presidency from Joe Clarke, President 2018-19, to Nilam Bedi, President 2019-20 commencing July 1.

 

 

At Bill’s invitation Joe reviewed the past year, thanked the Board and members, and expressed great confidence in Nilam.  He was given a gift and Past President’s pin by his predecessor, Barb Bocking, President 2017-18.  Barb praised Joe for outstanding service, and he received a standing ovation.

 

 

Bill then called upon Nilam, who received his President’s pin from Joe.

 

 

 

Nilam then spoke of the good health of the club, his preliminary review of significant issues and opportunities in light of the priorities of both the club and Rotary International, and his wish to consult widely with members and accordingly develop a renewed strategic plan.

 

Won most appropriately by Barb, who drew an Ace of Diamonds not Clubs and therefore had to settle for wine.
