  • October 16 - Next Week’s Meeting – will feature an open Board Meeting – please be there to learn more about our club and how it functions
  • October 25-27 – District Conference – join me and other 7070 Rotarians in Muskoka
  • October 31 – Habitat for Housing Build Day.  We have our core team of 10 volunteers.  Others welcome.  Contact: Norma
  • November 14 – RTE GEM Fundraising Wine & Auction Event – please buy, and have your friends and associates buy, tickets NOW
  • Strategic Planning – thank you for 80% response rate on the member survey – report to come on results and next steps
 

Guest Speaker: David Richardson Classification Speech

 
President Nilam introduced Rotary Toronto Eglinton member David Richardson who gave his classification speech.  After obtaining degrees in finance and architecture David followed one of his strongest interests by embarking on a career in sales in the entertainment industry with Disney.  Following 13 years with Disney he started his own highly successful business packaging and marketing film and video in Canada and the US, and later internationally.  Now largely retired, he has joined Rotary to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather, and to give back to the community.
 
He was thanked by Lars, both for his huge contribution to RTE already and his fine presentation which, Lars explained, proved the point the many of the best lunchtime speeches come from the club’s own members.
