RTE Member Ron Wild - Walls, Bridges, Art and Israel
David CS introduced member and artist Ron Wild who spoke on Walls, Bridges, Art and Israel following his recent travel to Israel and Palestine with a group of artists. Ron showed prototypes of an installation he hopes to have placed either side of the wall, an art piece in which a wall twists and turns to form a bridge over itself to the other side.
There was extended conversation about the physical, philosophical and artistic aspects of the project.
Chad thanked Ron, especially since he spoke on short notice. The planned speakers, from John Polanyi Collegiate Institute on the first nation robotics project with the Moose Cree First Nation youth supported by RTE, could not attend because of the high school teachers’ strike action.
