Great food, live jazz, and visiting with friends at the Rosedale Golf Club made for a great start to this year’s holiday season.

Special guests included District Governor Neil Phillips. President Barb presented a cheque to Olive Rose from the "Out of the Cold" program at Yorkminster Park Baptist Church. In addition, Joanne Korten, was presented with a cheque to Women’s Brain Health Initiative.

 

 

Students and teachers from John Polanyi Collegiate Institute (JPCI) provided us with an update on their initiative to assist new Canadians in need of school supplies and digital resources. This fall these students also took on an initiative to raise funds and partner with Street Health Toronto to provide Winter Kits for the homeless living in downtown Toronto. Student fund raising efforts include the sale of very stylish YYZ branded tee-shirts and sweats (modeled by Stephen B).
