This Week: March Service Event -Families Helping Families of Iowa.
Families Helping Families of Iowa supports children in foster care and the caregivers who selflessly open their hearts and homes to them. The group is dedicated to creating an environment where children can thrive and feel valued while providing essential resources and unwavering support for their caregivers on this important journey.
Join us this Wednesday from Noon-1 p.m. at 6000 7th Street SW, Cedar Rapids to help organize clothing and other items.
Kathy Good is Sr. Director of the DeWolf Innovation Center for Aging & Dementia. She shared her story as a caregiver and how she's worked to support caregivers and their families in our community. It was interesting to learn that the DeWolf Center is one of the few institutions in the country dedicated to supporting the patient and their family members who almost overnight find themselves completely responsible for a family member.
Rotary Basics is a comprehensive overview of Rotary’s extensive history, from how it was founded to how we operate today. The updated guide tells all about Rotary, including our structure, values, international offices, The Rotary Foundation, and more. It can help inform new members who are beginning their Rotary experience and refresh the knowledge of longtime members. You can even share it with nonmembers who want to learn more about Rotary.
