Rescheduled for this Saturday, August 15, 11:00 AM at  the Cedar Rapids Downtown Farmers' Market. Thousands of numbered ping pong balls will be dropped from a lift near Green Square Park and the Cedar Rapids Public Library.  Please come early to help us with last-chance ping pong ball sales.  This is our primary fundraiser for the year.  We are looking forward to your participation!

Katy Lee will provide a summary of the Iowa Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA) Camp, held July 26 – 31 at Grinnell College.  Three students sponsored by Cedar Rapids West Rotary will join our meeting as well. 

Our regular monthly service event will be replaced this month with the BIG DROP on August 15 at the Downtown Farmers’ Market (see above).

Cedar Rapids City Council member Scott Olson provided and update on all the exciting new things happening in Cedar Rapids.
