Apologies for the late send today.  I was emailing back and forth with Peter Teahan. We made some adjustments to our schedule so he can join us on October 8 to tell us about Circling the Atlantic!

This week: Service Event at NCSML 
We are bringing the September service event to our home turf at the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library. We'll meet in our regular space before we get to work. The team at NCSML has a wide range of tasks they need help with - from power washing and steam cleaning to making phone calls and updating community calendars. Cale Henderson, co-owner of the FNF (Fun Not Fancy) Restaurant Group will join us to tell us more about the concept behind FNF. The group operates seven eateries in Cedar Rapids and Marion that "evoke emotion & fuel positive vibes."

We had a great time with Dennis Becker and Trevor Templeman as they shared the story of City View Community School. The Cedar Rapids Community School District's first magnet school has a new location and will graduate its first senior class this year!

The Flight to Fight Polio: Ed and Peter make stops in Portugal before flying back across the Atlantic for Newfoundland.
