West Rotary was grateful to host Dustin Peterson, retired Marine and director of Linn County Veteran Affairs. We learned about the good works and services that Linn County Veteran Affairs provides to our local veterans and their families.

 

Due to a scheduling conflict, our featured presenter, Marty Lenss, was unable to be here this week. In his stead, we will be doing a Big Drop check presentation to our grand prize winner The Ecumenical Community Center and having them stay and say a few words. Following that short presentation, Janette Fiedler has put together a fun day to share some laughs and get to know our fellow club members better.

 

Next week we will hear from Corinne Rahe, VP of Marketing & Communications at the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation. She will be discussing the grants they do with nonprofits as well as the works they do with donors to strengthen Linn County.
