Thanks to Mike for doing the news and giving us a joke, to Matt for his invocation and leading us in the pledge and 4way test, and to Charles for leading us in an inspiring rendition of BINGO WAS HIS NAME.

 

The Cedar Lake Metro Project remains scheduled for October 10 from 9-12 am.  More volunteers are needed.   Contact Larry if you can come.

 

Teressa led us in Bingo.  We got to learn a few things about VP Matt.  Among other things, he plays a guitar and know songs from the 70s and 80s.  He will be showcasing his talents this week as a substitute for Dana.  Looking forward to it!

 

This week's program is our own Mike Wiethorn.   We will be celebrating October birthdays which include Kim, Janette, TJ, Jane, Steve, Bernard, Larry, and Rob.  Please join us.

 

 

 

The minutes can be found on our website.  The Board discussed fundraising is needed to keep some of our past education scholarships for this year.  COVID  caused cancellation of our beer tent fundraiser and also of our normal fall indoor social event.  An outdoor social/fundraiser was mentioned as a possibility before the weather turns to winter.  Board members are investigating various sites for the social.  How fundraising would be done is also being reviewed.  If you have any ideas about either a social or a fundraising please contact Larry. 

 

Future meeting locations after January 1 were also discussed.  Board members will be investigating other venues because our membership is smaller now.
