   November is Rotary Foundation Month. When you give to the Rotary Foundation you are directly supporting Rotary's work. Your gift makes service projects - projects that eradicate polio, promote peace and develop communities - happen. We'll learn more about Foundation Month at Wednesday's meeting.

November is Rotary Foundation Month and Rotary District 5970 Foundation Chair Michelle Bell will join us to talk about the foundation and the work it focuses on. 

This month is dedicated to highlighting the Rotary Foundation and encouraging Rotarians to support Rotary's humanitarian and educational projects around the world, which address issues like poverty, disease and illiteracy.

Linn County Mental Health Access Center Director Erin Foster joins us to talk about the center's 24/7 crisis services. The center provides crisis care for adults experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder that requires immediate attention. A partnership between the county supervisors, local law enforcement, hospitals and local mental health partners led to the creation of the center.

We had a good crowd join us for a Fifth Wednesday experiment to take Rotary on the Road. Instead of taking the day off, more than a dozen of us got together at Cliff's Dive bar for food, fellowship and getting to know one another a little better.
