Dr. Rob Pannier will be here to share more about Hope CDA in Cedar Rapids. This faith-based group runs a yearlong program where men commit to overcoming addiction, gaining life skills and finding employment.

Last meeting: Van Buren Fundraiser
Our last meeting before Thanksgiving was outstanding! The auction, raffle and donations raised $790 to help Van Buren Elementary students get the necessary hats, mittens, gloves and scarves for winter. Also, a tip of the hat to James Nelson for covering the costs of two extra boxes of coats for the Van Buren students!

Make sure you join us for a special meeting featuring Ruth White and Al O'Bannon.
 
Ruth is the founder of the Academy for Scholastic and Personal Success which promotes academic achievement and cultural awareness among African American youth.
 
O'Bannon is the executive director of the LBA Foundation which mentors young men through leadership and personal development.
 
Both will share their organization's mission and receive fundraising checks from The Big Drop.
