The transition of power went peacefully on Wednesday. No one stormed the museum and we did not have to seek shelter. The only remnants of the past administration is that Larry refuses to remove his picture from this newsletter. That's fine by me, because potential members looking at this newsletter might not be inclined to join if they see the likes of me. I want to thank Larry for doing such a great job during what everyone knows was a challenging year. Keeping us all engaged in Zoom meetings and holding the club together through this pandemic. Many thanks also go to Penny for keeping the programs engaging, enlightening and fun through out the year. I also want to thank Tom and Janette for putting together not only last years successful Big Drop but also what has been done this year to make this fundraiser a big success. It is now up to us to get out there and sell balls. Thank you to those that assisted with the service project at the museum. It was good work and fellowship. Of course as my predecessor did before me, I am officially not going to be in person for my first meeting. Hope to see you on Zoom! I look forward to leading this club in 2021 but know that I can not be successful alone. I will need the help of all members and will enjoy creating better relationships with all of you. Matt |
