Announcements
As announced 2 weeks ago by our very own Andy Fielder, 2024-25 Future City Iowa Regional Competition is coming up soon and looking for volunteers to help judge.

This year's Future City Competition challenges middle school students to explore: What problems does a floating city solve? What new problems does it present? How would your floating city look, feel, smell, and sound different from today’s cities? And to imagine what future cities will be like when engineers find and implement solutions to the challenges of floating cities.

Important Dates:
  • January 11th, Virtual Essay Judging. (1-2 hours, whenever you are able)
  • January 18th, In-person Regional Competition (8am -12pm)
Please visit our Future City Volunteer Sign-Up to let us know you’re interested in helping out in January 2025. It is possible, (even encouraged), to participate on both dates.

Although STEM-specific experience can be helpful, it is definitely not necessary to be a successful judge for the program. We also encourage any volunteers to invite friends, family, and coworkers to volunteer to help make sure that all teams will be covered

"Rotary Rush" is on again this year!!! As in past years, a generous donor is offering to match each dollar donated with an additional PHF point to help a member reach their first (or additional) PHF recognition. However, to qualify, your donation plus the point-match must get you to the next PHF level (next $1,000 level). In other words, for every $1.00 given 1 point will also be donated in your name. A $100 minimum cash gift is required by TRF to begin this match process, and we have set a $500 maximum donation eligible for up to a maximum 500 matching points. Any additional points (up to 500) will count towards your next level).
