The Cedar Rapids Freedom Festival returns this year with a patriotic theme celebrating America’s 250th birthday: “Party Like It’s 1776: America’s Birthday Bash.” Festival events will bring communities across Eastern Iowa together for family fun, entertainment, and patriotic traditions.
A highlight of this year’s celebration is the Freedom Festival Parade, which will be held in Hiawatha for the first time. The festival concludes July 4 with the Celebration of Freedom at McGrath Amphitheatre, featuring live entertainment, family activities, food vendors, and fireworks over downtown Cedar Rapids.
