Ash
Greeter: Chuck Kudej Cashier: Chris Carr
Community Engagement Librarian Meredith Ash will join us to talk about the reading programs for youth and adults at the Cedar Rapids Public Libraries.
Last Week: Cultivating Places of Belonging, Dr. Evelyn Carter, author
Greeter: Cecelia RokusekCashier: Penny Olson
We had a lively presentation last week from Dr. Evelyn Carter discussing ways to make the workplace and other parts of our communities more welcoming to all people. Dr. Carter shared stories from her past experience to illustrate how some people get left out or left behind and what can be done to include everyone.
Dr. Carter has written a book "Was that racist?" that discusses how to detect, interrupt and unlearn bias in everyday life. You can learn more about it here.
We're getting ready for the Big Drop at this month's service event!
We won't be meeting at the NCSML next Wednesday. Instead our service event is the following week on Tuesday night, June 30 at 5 p.m. at Anderson Bogert, 4050 River Center Ct NE, Cedar Rapids.
A big part of the Big Drop is making sure that all of the numbered balls are present and accounted for so that each ticket sold has a matching ball. We've got a pretty easy system of walking around the room to drop the balls in numbered groups. You'll definitely get in your steps for the day!

Please take a few minutes this week to update your bio in ClubRunner and maybe add a photo of your amazing self too! This will help someone match a face to a name after club activities. Make sure to doublecheck your address too as Rotary uses this to reach you by USPS.
How to login to ClubRunner: ClubRunner is the program we use to communicate with club members, manage our web site, and take care of other club business. While it is integrated into a lot of Rotary business, it is separate from your profile through Rotary International where you can donate for a Paul Harris Award, etc.
Logins for ClubRunner are some version of “firstnamelastname.11585” or “firstname.lastname.11585” If you can’t remember which one or if neither works, there are “forgot username” and “forgot password” links. Rotary International logins tend to be the email Rotary info is emailed to, such as newsletters and meal info. They also have a “help” link if you get stuck.
If you get stranded in cyber limbo, you can also contact Dennis Green.
