COME CZECH IT OUT STARTS MAY 5
Thanks to the efforts of Bruce a deal has been struck with the Czech Museum to again hold our meetings there starting noon on May 5.  Dostal's will provide food. It will be a lunch box (like we have at Interact meetings) with your choice of either a turkey or a ham sandwich. Cost will be $10.  Matt T will send out an email the week before asking for people to contact him if they want a lunch box.  You must contact him by 10 a.m. the Monday before the meeting.  At this time if you order it you will pay for it at the door by cash or check unless you make special arrangements with one of the Treasurers.  Eventually, it is anticipated that you can arrange for prepaid meals at the time you pay dues.  There will be spaced tables and chairs.  Masking will be required except when eating.

We should also have zoom capabilities so watch for that emailed information if that is your preference.

The Board is excited about beginning the process of revitalizing our Club post-pandemic by returning to where we met before the flood of 2008.  Come join us!
April 28 Meeting
Many thanks to Dennis for the news, Janette for the invocation, pledge, and 4way test, and to Dana for the song.

Jane was thanked for hosting us at the Nature Center.

It was mentioned we will start hybrid meetings at the Czech Museum on May 5.  As a result we again will need a Sgt. at Arms and a Cashier each week.  Darby has prepared the schedule.  If you cannot make a date you need to find your own substitute and let Darby know.

Nick Kilburg gave us an excellent presentation about Vienna and its history.  He shared with us numerous photos showing us just how beautiful and enchanting the City is.

John Z announced the book "The Mitten" will be presented to Van Buren in his honor.
Virtual District Conference April 30-May 1
It was conducted by zoom.  Larry and Kim attended.  A number of excellent speakers gave presentations.  Several great ideas were given on how to reimage and revitalize Rotary Clubs post-pandemic.  Diversity and Unconscious Bias speakers also gave us much food for thought.  Our Club was among those that received the Club Excellence Award.

A duck pluck fundraiser was part of the events.  Unfortunately none of our members won the Paul Harris points but two CR Clubs had members win.  Please support the silent auction which remains open until Friday.  Our Club has donated a Cedar Ridge gift box featuring a bottle of  Slipknot No. 9 Reserve signed by the band founder "Clown."  Bidding on the package is doing well.
