February 10 Meeting
Many thanks to Dennis for the news, Brian for the invocation, pledge, and 4way test, and Dana for leading us in song.
 
Kennedy administrator Jason Kline introduced teacher Dennis Hynek who is being recognized by our club as an outstanding teacher.
 
Wayne Powers was remembered by various members for his contributions to our club.  Our sympathy goes out to his wife Inara and relatives.
 
Teressa introduced our speaker Deb Bowen.  She gave us an interesting presentation about "A Book by Me" and stories about WWII memories.  As a guest she had Harold Kasimow, a Grinnell College professor.  Harold is a Jewish Halocaust survivor and spoke to us about his experience in doing his story written by student Chaz Walk.  We will be hearing more about this wonderful project in the future from Teressa.

Rhonda has been organizing our teacher recognition program.  So far the following teachers have been scheduled for our zoom meetings.

Congratulations to each teacher.  Also thank you Rhonda for organizing and Jim C for doing the certificates they are receiving.
Rotary Rush

As a reminder District 5970 “ROTARY RUSH” is still on!!! For the month of February 2021 the District is still offering a significant incentive to all Rotarians who give to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. A generous Rotarian Donor has offered their points as an incentive to help Rotarians more easily reach their first or next Paul Harris Fellow level. The Donor is offering a 1 for 1 points to dollars match to reach your next Paul Harris level when you donate a minimum of $100.  This match is good up to $500, for as long as the donor has points.  There is a District form that needs to be completed to obtain the match.
