We are now holding our meetings at the Czech Museum.   Dostal's will provide food. It will be either a hot or cold lunch box with menu changing each week.  Cost will be $10.  Matt T will send out an email the week before asking for people to contact him if they want a lunch box.  You must contact him by 10 a.m. the Monday before the meeting.  At this time if you order it you will pay for it at the door by cash or check unless you make special arrangements with one of the Treasurers.  Eventually, it is anticipated that you can arrange for prepaid meals at the time you pay dues.  There will be spaced tables and chairs.   Any applicable COVID guidelines will be followed.

 

Thanks to our tech guy Dennis Green we have zoom capabilities for those who prefer that option.  Watch for emailed zoom information since the zoom info is changing in an effort to have a chat function.

Larry displayed the District Club Excellence Award which was announced at the District Convention.

 

Larry noted that Kirkwood Scholarship winners are listed in the Bulletin.

 

Janette announce that the Big Drop sponsorships currently total $8500.  A few additional sponsors are anticipated.  Larry advised he is working with the Czech Museum to see if the Drop can be held there on August 7.

 

Lijun gave us an interesting history lesson about herself and her family.  Wedding photos, family photos and pages of her family genealogy were shared with us.  She can go back thousands of years with her family history and showed how her family came to settle on the island of Taiwan.  Great job Lijun!

 

John Z announced in her honor the book "The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs" would be donated to Van Buren.
