Last week we heard from Michael Mulherin a retired Firefighter Captain with the Cedar Rapids Fire Department. He spoke about forming an Emergency Action Plan for all types of work and public settings including our very own Rotary meetings!
This Week: Big Drop Check Presentation to LBA & The Academy
This week Cedar Rapids West Rotary will be presenting checks from our Big Drop for Education fundraiser to the Leader Believers Achievers Foundation and The Academy for Scholastic and Personal Success. Both recipients will give a short presentation
Next Week: Service Project at National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library
Next week's Service Project will be held at the Czech & Slovak Museum. We will be working with a liaison with Van Buren Elementary on some sort of craft
Fall Harvest 5th Wednesday Event(Oct 30th): Silent auction items and possibly a large live auction item(s) are being requested from members. Please reach out to Pete/Susan Eddington or Kim Kudej if you'd like to add something to the auction
A sign-up for what to bring to the Fall Harvest Potluck was sent out last week. Please let us know if you plan to attend and fill in the Google spreadsheet if you plan on bringing an item(s). The club will be providing the BBQ'd meat(most likely pulled pork) that Matt Teply has graciously offered to prepare!
