Lisa Hinzman Howard started The Midwest Garden Gal in 2016 to help gardeners find success in their garden, from a few pots on a patio to multi-bed annual, perennial and veggie paradises. She created and teaches gardening classes around the world and published her first book in 2022.
City View Community High School has a new home in Hiawatha. The Cedar Rapids Community School District's first magnet school moved to Kirkwood Community College's Linn County Regional Center just in time for the 2025 school year.
Principal Dennis Becker and teacher Trevor Templeman will tell us what this new location offers the school's 60 students

Council member David Maier talked about a long list of issues, actions and developments that have been brought before the Cedar Rapids City Council this year.
We also learned a lot about the importance of attending city council meetings and writing to the mayor and city council when there's an issue that concerns you.
