Thanks to Mike for the news, Matt for the invocation, pledge and 4way test, and Charles for the song.

Also Larry mentioned that John Z arranged to get 60 books for distribution to Van Buren in honor of our speakers. Our supply was getting really low. Thanks so much John for volunteering to help us out.

Dennis introduced our speaker Daniel Kleinknecht with CR Opera Theatre. He zoomed in from New York City. Daniel said the theatre was doing well despite the pandemic. They have digital presentations the second Thursday of each month at 7. They are peforming Operatini in February and The Enchanted Forest in March. More information is available on its website.

Teacher Recognition Starting February

Rhonda has been organizing our teacher recognition program. So far the following teachers have been scheduled for our zoom meetings.

February 3--Kat Power from Linn-Mar HS

February 10--Dennis Hynek from Kennedy HS

February 17--Joe Link from Jefferson HS

February 24---Erica Ireland from Xavier HS

Congratulations to each teacher. Also thank you Rhonda for organizing and Jim C for doing the certificates they are receiving.

Rotary Rush

As a reminder District 5970 “ROTARY RUSH” is still on!!! For the month of February 2021 the District is still offering a significant incentive to all Rotarians who give to the Rotary Foundation Annual Fund. A generous Rotarian Donor has offered their points as an incentive to help Rotarians more easily reach their first or next Paul Harris Fellow level. The Donor is offering a 1 for 1 points to dollars match to reach your next Paul Harris level when you donate a minimum of $100. This match is good up to $500, for as long as the donor has points. There is a District form that needs to be completed to obtain the match.
