We held our 5th Wednesday Event at the Chophouse Downtown on July 31st where, our very own club Rotarian and At-large Cedar Rapids city council member, David Maier discussed the different things going on in Cedar Rapids and also a bit of his story into local politics. 

 

The Big Drop was held on Saturday, August 3rd at the Farmers Market. 4600 balls were sold and dropped with total donations/sponsorships expected to exceed $20,000 making it a great success! Thanks to all for your hard work, sales, and donations!

This week we will hear from Dustin Peterson who is the Director of Linn County Veterans Affairs. He will be discussing the assistance that they provide to veterans and their families.

Marty Lenss, who is the Airport Director at the Eastern Iowa Airport, will be giving us a report of what's new and general operations at the airport here in Cedar Rapids.

Big Drop Committee Meeting to be held right after regular meeting on Aug. 7th. Looking to review successes and things that could be improved.
