What is Rotary?

Rotary is an international service club with 1.2-million members working in community clubs around the world. The main objective of Rotary is service – in your community and throughout the world. Rotarians build goodwill and peace, provide humanitarian service, and provide high ethical standards in all vocations.
Toronto Beach Rotary is an active group of people just like you who want to make a difference in our community. We raise funds in support of projects and local organizations that help make life better for others in unique ways. As part of Rotary International, we also help communities less fortunate than ours in other parts of the world. Service and friendships are the cornerstones of our group.
We have helped:

Senior Movies at the Fox Theatre
Free movies for seniors on the last Thursday of every month
Beach Community Edible Garden
Organic garden project at Ashbridges Bay Park. The Garden was the recipient of our annual $5,000 Youth Project Grant in 2015.
Pegasus Community Project
Day services for adults with developmental disabilities

Community Centre 55
We help CC55 with their Christmas Food Drive every year by collecting both food and cash donations at our annual Santa at the Cottage event. In 2014, CC55 was the recipient of our annual $5,000 Youth Project Grant.
We also support:
  • Youth Scholarships
  • Out of the Cold
  • Santa at the Cottage
International projects include:
  • Water & Sanitation for Haitian immigrants in the Dominican Republic
  • St. Aidan’s Youth Group traveled to the Nicaragua last year to help refurbish a school. Our funds helped to offset their costs, and also fund a Rotary International project to build a sanitation system for a nearby village.
  • Polio Plus: The goal of Rotary and its partners is to eradicate the Polio virus from the world. We’re this close!
