Club Services seized an opportunity to bring some joy into our community. With a small budget, but very big hearts, the project was launched.
There was a great need to spruce up the gardens. In the front it was for presentation purposes, but in the back where most of the staff and the patients spend a substantial part of their day, it was a labour of love.
Consider the fact that we were expecting that the project would last about 3 to 5 hours. It soon became apparent that this would not even scratch the surface. So the team got busy, and after some appeal, the volunteers started showing up. Rotarians and Friends of Rotary. Under the guidance of Gerard and Gary, the project took on a life of it’s own. The results were fantastic.
