Rotarian Nevine Yassa of Scarborough Rotary Club directed the International Committee to a rising need for supporting orphans and street children in Cairo, Egypt.
Babies and toddlers are being found abandoned on the streets when parents are unable to provide for them, or if they are orphans, and have no family to support them.
Some are fortunate enough to be taken to  orphanages such as FACE.
FACE is an orphanage facility where the little ones are taken in,  cared for, and their lives are saved.   The Rotary Club of Cairo-Rhein-Nile, Egypt  has been supporting this project on an on-going basis, but they were in need of various equipment to sustain the facility.   By seeking support from The Rotary Club of Scarborough and four  other clubs, and applying for and receiving a grant from Rotary District 7070, funds were sent to Cairo to purchase the needed equipment.
