The Rotary Club of Scarborough's Service Above Self Awards 2026 took place on June at the Scarboruogh Golf Course. This event was organised in recognition to our local heroes from Toronto Police, Fire and Paramedic Services.
Donna Worden (Director, Community and Vocational Services) in her brief background about the Service above Self Awards says that the annual Rotary Recognition started in 2006 at our Club by Donna herself and colleague Club Rotarians. The Recognition Award is called “Service Above Self” and provides recognition to identified members of Toronto Police, Fire and Paramedic Services for their outstanding contributions in their workplace and to our community and beyond. The identified members are nominated by their respective superiors.
This year’s recipients are presented below along with the representative(s) from their respective Service who spoke about them and their accomplishments at work and in their community.
A big thanks to President John and members for supporting this event.
