We, at the Rotary Club of Scarborough, have been serving the community since 1951. One of the alliances that was formed during the years is with the Church of the Holy Trinity in Guildwood.
Above, Thomas Patrick Sheehan, chair of the CVS committee: presents Reverend Stephen Kirkegaard with a cheque in the amount of $500.00 during the December build up to Christmas to support the food bank organized by the Church.  The Food Bank will support a number of families and individuals in the community.
Most recently, Holy Trinity Church allowed our Rotary Club to set up a Tree of Remembrance on the grounds; to help raise funds to be used in the community. The Tree of Remembrance is the first of its’ kind in Canada. It was brought to Canada by Thomas Patrich with much help from Rotarians in Cork, Ireland.
The Tree of Remembrance is a way of remembering loved ones or frontline workers or anyone at all, by placing a ribbon on the Tree for a contribution. It was a great success, and we look forward to more alliances in the future.
