Minutes of Turnaround Meeting June 28, 2014

Dave T. - wanted to recognize today’s get-together as being the most important of the year. Started out by thanking Nash for his leadership, for a great year and for getting so many members involved.

Highlights were- two major fundraising events- Beer Fest with great success and the joint Golf Tournament combining with the Newmarket Club. International Night was also a smashing success- a special thanks to the organizing members. The Club also grew by 4 members and we were able to meet all our goals. Our last successful initiative was the Satellite Club thanks to Ted and Samir. We are the first in District 7070 to start this club.
Dave wanted to thank Nash for serving the Club well with passion. Dave presented Nash with his Past- President’s pin as well as a special Rotary Bell as an appreciation gift.
Dave also presented Nash with a Paul Harris fellowship award.

Nash wanted to thank the Club for the vote of thanks. He also again wanted to thank-
David O. for membership drive, the Club  for exceeding our  fundraising goals.
Also a special thanks to Richard’s company for their financial contribution. Thanks  Jason and the Auction for raising close to $14k. Thanks to every one for without help and support none of this is possible. Nash wanted to especially recognize Jag’s wife Bridget for her help and support.
Benefactor certificates were presented to Susan, Gerry, Cam ,Kosta and Jason .Special thanks to Peter for marketing and pr.

Nash presented Richard with a Paul Harris fellow for his job as Treasurer. He received a pin and certificate. Thanks to David O. for membership . A Paul Harris fellowship to Samir for satellite club. Glen Waugh was given his 6th Paul Harris and Paul T. was given an award for his leadership of International Night.

 Two special Lifetime Awards were given to Gerry and Cam.

Rotarian of the Year- Glen. He has been on the Board for 15 years. Glen wanted to say that no one has worked harder with our Club than Nash.

Nash presented David T. with his President`s Pin.
David introduced the new Board-- Dave T.- Pres., Dr. A. -Pres-elect, Glen- Sec.,Richard- Treas.,Paul V. Community Service,Jason- Vocational,Nash- Club Service,Gord- International, Glen- Rotary Foundation,David O. membership, Steve- Youth,Jag-Foundation, Peter-marketing 

Nash presented flowers to Jill Tate and David presented to Shelagh Harris.
