Dr. Paul Thistle will be coming to speak at the Rotary Club of Richmond Hill on Monday, July 27, 2015.  Originally from Scarborough, Dr. Thistle’s life’s calling has been to serve in a remote hospitals in rural areas of Zimbabwe.
 
In 2008, the University of Toronto-trained doctor was chosen as the inaugural recipient of the Teasdale-Corti Humanitarian Award, created by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada to recognize Canadian physicians who go beyond normal expectations to deliver health care worldwide. In 2008, the University of Windsor awarded him an honorary doctor of laws degree.
