As noted at last night's meeting, the plan for this year's Watershed Clean Up will be along the trail behind the main GRCA office at 2216 Northumberland County Rd 28 in Port Hope. This is the area known as the Ganaraska Millenium Conservation Area, and is a roughly 2km trail that surrounds a wetland and backs onto the Ganaraska River. I have attached a photo of the trail map. The conservation area is dog friendly, and please note that there may be some fishers along the river section.

I will be bringing bags as well as vinyl/latex disposable gloves, and will arrange to bring any garbage collected to the Bewdley dump (or depending on what is collected, through weekly garbage collection, whichever is most cost effective).

In contrast to what I had mentioned in meeting, I am suggesting a 10:00am start time, with social time afterwards at the Thirsty Goose at 12:30pm. I do not anticipate taking the full 2.5hours to clean up the trail, however this will allow time for members to go home and change/clean up as desired. Spouses & family members are more than welcome to join.

In order to arrange a reservation at The Thirsty Goose, please let me know if you plan on attending by noon on Thursday April 20th. To my knowledge, we are not able to reserve the patio (though I will ask).

In addition, please let me know if you attending the clean up by noon on Thursday April 20th, as I may need to provide information to the GRCA (I am still awaiting this information).
