Fundraiser
We are thrilled to announce our second annual Comedy Night on Friday September 13, 2024 featuring comedians from Yuk Yuks (Min Age 19). Doors open 6.30pm, event begins at 7.30pm. The event is destined to be a night filled with laughter and memorable performances while raising funds to support Evergreen Hospice . Only 100 tickets so buy now to avoid disappointment. Tickets are being sold online via the CanadaHelps platform.
Partners
We are collaborating with Evergreen Hospice for this event. Evergreen provides community based supportive services to individuals and their families in Markham, Stouffville and Thornhill, who are living with a life-threatening illness, caregiving, or coping with the death of a loved one. All funds raised will go to their Teddy Bear Friend/Palliative Child Care program.
The Event
In addition to comedy, there will be a fully stocked bar, a 50:50 draw & a raffle. All proceeds from this event go directly to Evergreen Hospice. Note: Min Age 19
Comedians
Headline - Scott Faulconbridge - has delighted International audiences with his masterful timing, quirky storytelling and quick improvisational wit to establish himself as one of Canada's headlining acts. His unique stories and songs are inspired by family mishaps that have made him a crowd favourite for three decades. His work has earned him three Canadian Comedy Award nominations for his work as an Improviser and a stand-up comedian.
MC - Jean Paul - Co-host of Breakfast Television, Jean has performed at the Apollo in New York, the Comedy Store in London, Just For Laughs, Halifax and Winnipeg comedy Festivals - and has a Gemini Award for Best Writing in a Comedy Series. He has also proven his talent in TV and film.
With Laurie Elliott - Laurie is a stand-up comic, Juno nominee, actor and TV writer. Sheis a four-time winner of Best Female Stand-Up at The Canadian Comedy Awards and her stand-up credits include Montreal's Just For Laughs Festival, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival and other festivals around the world.
