Rotary Etobicoke Celebrates Canada's 150th Birthday with Schools and Community Center

On 16 May, on behalf of Rotary Etobicoke's Community Services Committee, Gillian presented a cheque to Tiffany Jay from Suitcase Theatre Arts and Education Outreach.     Our funding will provide six performances of Suitcase Theatre's "All Aboard - An Adventure Across Canada" at schools and community centers in Etobicoke.     The fun, interactive, educational show celebrates Canada's 150th birthday and takes children on a journey by train, canoe and dog sled to learn about the people, the different cultures and the beautiful geography that make up our incredible country.     The original musical production  carries messages of friendship, co-operation and overcoming obstacles while helping children safely explore themes such as inclusivity, bullying and acceptance.    With  Rotary Etobicoke as a community partner  Suitcase Theatre will be able to bring the All Aboard educational show to children and their families in low-income, high priority neighbourhoods in Etobicoke who would not normally be able to enjoy a live coast to coast adventure showing the diversity of our people through song and dance.
