El Salvador Sweat Equity Program
Feb. 26, 2020 12:00 p.m.
El Salvador Sweat Equity Program Recently a group of Rotarians and friends of Rotarians went to El Salvador to build homes for poor people living in a rural mountain area. Vicki will take you through their journey in El Salvador highlighting the building of 7 houses, school visits, donations and other highlights. Come out and learn about this amazing country with its gracious people. Vicki Malo Vicki’s desire to help others through hands-on started several years ago when organizing groups of foot care professionals to go to the West Indies and provide much needed help to the locals. Rotary was instrumental to the success of these programs. This led to her joining Rotary 3 years ago to help others locally and around the world. As she loves to travel and experience other cultures, joining sweat equity international programs fits into her mission of providing care and necessities to the less fortunate. Vicki is an engaged member of Rotary and we are very happy to hear from her at our meeting. |

Apr. 03, 2020 6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Let's take a minute during dinner on April 3rd to get together (even if apart), have a toast, share some laughs and help Elisa House.
This is a light hearted moment to share as a club. Rummage through what's left of your pantry & cook what you can! Get out of your PJ and dress up a little (at least the part visible on camera!), Pour yourselves a(nother) glass of your favorite libation, capture the moment in a few selfies to share with the club (via Ron) and better yet jump on a video call at 6:30pm to raise a glass with the club (zoom link below).
Kindly donate $20 per household to the chosen cause.
Donations can be made by credit card at registration or via email transfer to Greg: gdrotary@outlook.com

THE COST OF “STAYING ON TOP OF THINGS”
May 13, 2020 12:00 p.m.
How stressful or traumatic experiences affect our relationships with family, community and business, and how to eliminate their impact on our lives.
“The source of empowerment, transformation and success is within you”
Alena will discuss the impact of when economy and life is unstable ...running for security, causes distress in our family and workplace. As a result people are disconnected from their children and cannot make clear decisions. This affects the stability of our foundation and our children's security by not having patience and time for our loved ones. Therefore stress levels are raised and are less effective. Costing us the price that can not be replaced.
