Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue

Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue is Durham Region's ONLY wildlife rehabilitation and education facility.

They are licensed by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry (MNRF) and Canadian Wildlife Services to RESCUE, REHABILITATE and RELEASE Ontario Native Wildlife. Theirr first priority is to the health and welfare of the animals that come under their care. Together with Carter Veterinary Hospital each individual animal brought to our centre will receive the highest standards of care.

Lead by Stefanie MacEwan, founder and licensed wildlife custodian,  a small team of staff and volunteers work around the clock.

They are not funded by the government, therefore they developed educational programming to assist in their ability to rehabilitate wildlife. Without these programs and your assistance, Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue would not be sustainable.

Soper Creek Wildlife Rescue also provides native wildlife education which emphasizes the importance of teaching young people about coexisting with indigenous species.
