We had an excellent presentation on Monday by Richard Mewhinney of the Rotary Club of Newmarket. He told us about all the work that Rotary has done in Ongutoi Uganda in recent years to support a health centre. He is currently leading a water collection project to support a fruit tree orchard that will generate profits to finance the health centre

Pres-Elect Cathy, Super exchange student Tassilo and Rotarian Rob P attended Kent Public School for the Rotary Spelling Bee.
 
With the support and organization of teacher Amanda Barratt and the staff at Kent PS we had 17 Junior Participants and 7 Intermediate Participants.  
 
The results were as follows - Junior 1st - Haley Lawson, 2nd Lilly Doucette, and 3rd Claire Runciman
Intermediate 1st - Ashtyn Wilson, 2nd Amy Spencer and 3rd Jessica Bakocs.
Prizes were Inidigo / Chapters gift certificates of $75/$50/$25 as well a cheque for $100 was given to further the schools literacy program.
