The 41^st Kaufie Kaufman Variety Concert was once again a popular hit. The concert is organised by Andre Terblanche (Paarl Arts Hub) and this year’s event was exceptionally well received by the audience, with a strong focus on dignity and care for the elderly in our community: another rock-solid partner delivering a rock-solid project. These moments of connection are as valuable as the support we provide. Two local ophthalmic surgeons recently performed cataract eye surgery free of charge at Paarl Hospital. Ten patients on the government waiting list were treated by two surgeons through the intervention of Paarl Rotary. The bill for the procedures, R100 000, was footed by Paarl Rotary and partners.
