Welcome to Meeting No. 154 of the Rotary eClub of Latitude 38

President's Message

Kerrie and I are in Beijing enjoying the sights and contrasts of China. This is national holiday week and everyone has come to town.
I hope some of you will be able to attend the membership forum to be held in Berwick this month. This should be a good event. Details are on the District website and Secretary Ian has also provided advice to all members.
We are looking forward to catching up with Pete in Vietnam and among other things to look at what Rotary possibilities there may be in that country.
Please continue to give feedback on the weekly meeting by commenting on Facebook. This keeps the communication lines open and gives useful information for the preparation of future meetings.

I hope you are all well.

Cheers

Brian Norris

This week's meeting material

Donations In Kind

While I have often heard Rotarians talk about Donations In Kind I knew very little about it and how it worked so I thought others might be interested in this as well.

Donations in Kind (DIK) an activity of Rotary Australia World Community Service Limited (RAWCS) grew out of the compassion and concern of returning overseas volunteers. This recycling and reuse program, focusing on health & education involves the collection, sorting, packing, dispatch and distribution of donated items to countries in need of these goods.
Many goods and products, for which organisations in Australia have no further use, are valuable commodities in needy countries overseas and in some regions within Australia.

For more information on DIK go to the RAWCS Donations In Kind page
