Welcome to Meeting No. 119 of the Rotary eClub of Latitude 38

Kio Stark

December is Disease Prevention and Treatment Month

President's Message

We are starting to get some momentum with our club membership which is pleasing to see. We have a dentist, an IT and motel operator and retired law enforcement person waiting in the wings to join us.  Ask your friends to think about joining us. As I said to one of the prospective members recently: "In our club we appreciate that everybody has something to add and everyone brings a wealth of life experience and is respected. Just another sign of our focus on action rather than words".

We are approaching the Christmas season which is full of busyness and probably a little expense. I hope you all have a restful time.

Could I ask you to take out some time for your self and your family.

Have a great week.

Regards,

Deanne S.

President

This week's meeting material

Rotary - Fighting Disease

The beauty of strangers - Kio Stark - "When you talk to strangers, you're making beautiful interruptions into the expected narrative of your daily life — and theirs," says Kio Stark. In this delightful talk, Stark explores the overlooked benefits of pushing past our default discomfort when it comes to strangers and embracing those fleeting but profoundly beautiful moments of genuine connection.
